Key to success:
Master your strengths and make your weaknesses irrelevant.
Lisa has always had a strong desire to make a difference
in the world. She is fulfilling that desire every day as the owner
of Transformational Conversations. Lisa has over 20 years of experience
in coaching and consulting others. She has helped hundreds to transform
their lives, realize their goals, and achieve more satisfaction
and fulfillment. In addition to coaching and consulting, Lisa is
an accomplished speaker; conducting workshops, keynotes and seminars
nationwide.
Lisa began her career in the field of social
work where her desire to make a difference was initially expressed.
While studying Psychology at the University at Albany she worked
for three years as a counselor in a substance abuse facility.
Shortly after graduation she worked in a group home for physically
and sexually abused girls. From there Lisa worked as a child
abuse investigator and caseworker primarily trying to keep families
together and safe.
In 1993, Lisa was introduced to transformational
education and began studying this discipline also known as ontology.
She became fascinated with the concept that change could occur
quickly and be sustained. This pursuit led to a position in 1995
at Landmark Education Corporation (LEC) a company specializing
in transformational education. While working at LEC, Lisa was
trained to design and lead transformational seminars. She also
gained mastery in the emerging fields of personal and business
coaching especially in the areas of sales, planning, and productivity.
This became her opportunity to hone her skills within the corporate
world.
In 1998, Lisa left LEC to return to Albany,
NY to marry the love of her life and to be near her family. Upon
her return, Lisa began a coaching practice part time while working
full time for the New York State Office for the Prevention of
Domestic Violence (OPDV) as the Child Welfare Project Director.
Her primary duties at OPDV included designing and conducting
trainings around New York State on the issues of domestic violence
and child abuse.
